What We Do
Structural repairs, neck resets, frets, electronics, crack repair, and careful restoration of vintage and modern instruments. Every job treated with respect for the instrument’s history and voice.
From concept to finished instrument. Acoustic, electric, or hybrid designs tailored to the player. Tone woods, bracing, and finish choices guided by both tradition and the musician’s needs.
Custom pearl, abalone, wood, and mixed-media inlay. Headstock logos, fretboard markers, rosettes, and full decorative work — precise, balanced, and made to last.

Located in the Lake Tahoe / Reno area, MurpheySheerin & Co is a working luthiery focused on thoughtful repair, honest builds, and fine inlay work.
The shop is a place of quiet focus — hand tools, sharp planes, and the smell of wood and shellac. Whether an instrument needs careful restoration or a new build is taking shape, the same standards apply: solid joinery, clean work, and respect for the player who will carry it.
